Samay Lagoon

This German- run place is an excellence mid-range option for those who wish to visit the area without going sportfishing, although sportfishing is certainly available.

About 8 kms south of Barra Colorado airport, the lodge has 22 standard rooms with tiled bathrooms, hot and the beach is a couple bathrooms, hot showers and fans. There´s a restaurant-bar, and the beach is a couple of minutes walk away .

The lodge offers a rare combination of rustic comfort and unspoiled wilderness. The complete isolation provides an atmosphere of absolute relaxation and adventure.

Samay Lagoon does not offer 4 stars nor golden water fountains but a striking location and a truely unique setting in the mids of the rainforest surrounded by lagoons, rivers and the Caribbean waterfront. There are no roads within 125 km radius.
