Journey: After a 2½ hour-drive from the rainforest you will be taken to the wonderful world of the cloud forest.
Our excursion will start by picking you up at your hotel, then a transfer ride on an A/C minibus to Lake Arenal. At the dam, you will board a boat to do a 25 minute-boat ride across the lake up to Rio Chiquito where a 4 X 4 car will be waiting for you to drive you up to Sky Walk station located at Monteverde Cloud Forest. Here is where the adventure tour starts, get ready for a lifetime experience. Sky Walk is a combination of suspension bridges and platforms built in the cloud forest, that offers an opportunity to explore the forest canopy in a safe and easy manner at your own pace. The tour includes 2.5 km of trails and six suspension bridges across deep canyons at the level of the treetops. The longest bridge is about 243 meters ( 800 feet) in length.
After this ride, we will continue this tour by going to the town of Santa Elena where we will have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you are invited to walk the nature trails of La Finca Ecologica de Monteverde where you will be allowed to see a great variety of flora and fauna unique to this environment. or choose: Serpentariun, Ranario, Butherfly Garden. Around 3:30 p. m. we will head back to Fortuna, traveling the scenic route on our descend to Lake Arenal shores while enjoying a relaxing view of the cloud forest.
